Sittingbourne FC was very sorry to learn that one of our ex players, Peter Overton, has passed away at the age of just 43. We send condolences to his family and friends. Peter played for a number of Kent clubs including Tonbridge Angels and Maidstone Utd. A link to a game that Peter played for is HERE, and another in which he scored the only goal is HERE.

Our president Allan Crowshaw has passed away on the 3rd November 2018 at the age of 86. We send our condolences to his family and Friends. Allan was a fervent supporter of Sittingbourne FC often helping out whether it was painting for us or paying some of the officials expenses out of his own pocket. A minutes silence for Allan was held at our game away to Hythe Town. Allan had a distinguished Football league career in the 1950's having played for West Bromwich Albion, Derby County and Millwall. He also played for Dartford FC. More about Allan HERE.
Allans funeral was held at Bobbing Crematorium on Thursday 22nd November. As well as his family there were in attendance representatives of Sittingbourne FC, and the Isthmian League.

We are sorry to hear that Ernie Bateman has passed away at the age of 89. Ernie was born on the 5 April 1929 in Hemel Hempstead and played in the football league as a centre half for Watford. He joined the club from Hemel Hempstead in 1952 and made 52 league appearances in the 1955–56 and 1956–57 seasons, before returning to non-league football with Sittingbourne. We send our deepest condolences to his family.

In the Emirates FA Cup preliminary round we play Bearsted or Chichester City at home, tie to be played Saturday 25th August.

We welcome Haywards Heath, Sevenoaks Town, Three Bridges, and Whitstable Town in our league. We say goodbye to Molesey, Chipstead, and South Park. Relegated Tooting & Mitcham Utd will be in Isthmian League South Central.

Sittingbourne FC are pleased to say that Aslan Odev has been appointed as their first Team manager for season 2018-19. Aslan was told of this before the great performance against the league leaders!
Thanks to KFC Halle St Martinus Youth from Belgium for providing international opposition for our U18 side. Sittingbourne were a goal down at half time, but came back to win 5-1 in front of 163.

Interim Manager
Aslan Odev has been appointed interim manager following Nick Davis's departure. Aslan is a chief coach with Soccer elite and has been a member of Nick's coaching staff for a short while. Aslan takes charge of training on Thursday and his first match in charge will be on Saturday when Sittingbourne are away to South Park. Aslan is a local man, coming from the Isle of Sheppey.
