So thats pre season over for another year... hooray I hear you all cry!!! And the Brickies finished it in style with a 5-1 win over a Bromley XI which was a mix of youngsters and first team squad members.

The game was a good contest and for the opening quarter a very even one with the Brickies enjoying the best chance with Joe Boachie shooting narrowly wide. Bromley's best chance fell to Levi Avantchi going closest with a stinging shot that went a yard wide. This was after the mid point drinks break on a very warm afternoon.

The Brickies started to get on top and this climaxed with Joe Boachie netting a seventeen minute hat-trick and then turning provider for Ayman El-Mogharbel to smash home a fourth before half time.

The second half was more entertaining I'm told by a neutral supporter, as both sides attacked almost at will. Bromley did pull one back gloriously through a trialist drilling the ball into the top corner of Harley's net. Just moments before, Harley was almost embarrassed by a back pass but was fortunate to clear the ball away.

The scoring was ended in the closing stages when our trialist, Ash ,drilled a brilliant strike beyond Bromley's replacement keeper into the corner to cap a brilliant afternoon for the Brickies and end pre-season 2024/2025.
